Meet Dave
In 2021 I retired from a 35-year career in Payment Security.I have always gardened having grown up in an Italian family where my parents and both sets of grandparents had large vegetable gardens.I have a BA in Biology and MS in Software Engineering which is why I take a more scientific and experimental approach to gardening along with a hunger of always learning through classes, reading, seminars, etc.My goal is to help veg gardeners to be successful and learn from my trials. I have a large veg garden of about 1⁄2 acre on a 5 acre property. I am known for my tomato obsession where in 2022 I had 109 varieties of about 350 plants total.What do I do with all of those tomatoes? I donate the profits from my honor farm stand to the Placer Food Bank.
